As an organisation SmallNet employs teams of highly skilled consultants that specialise in the leading database technologies, many spanning 20-15 years practical deployment and implantation across a wide variety of business sectors. This was built upon the skills that came from the early days of Data Warehousing where we have been Designing, Building and Implementing Data Warehouse / Data Integration solutions for our customers.

We learnt quickly that building Data Warehouses with trusted information that users would be prepared to adopt, required more than load scripts and agile data modelling, plus it also needed Data Quality, Data Transparency, a common understanding of business language and sophisticated access models. Only in recent years have much of these requirements been combined in a discipline we now call Data Governance with associated Software solutions. We have always been being applying these disciplines with our assets and solutions.

20 years ago we started as evangelists in this space and have grown with this industry sector to the maturity it now has. We continue to do the same now with the evolving demands and technologies such as Data Governance and Modern Cloud based Data Warehousing.

During our growth and tenure we have used the IBM Data Integration tools and Data Warehouse technologies. Although our experience is not limited to IBM we have built data warehouse solutions on Netezza, Db2, Teradata and Oracle. More recently on the modern CLOUD based Data Warehouse platforms.

Additionally and importantly in the past 5- 10 plus years there has been a large growth in Data privacy and regulations i.e. GDPR and SmallNet Consulting are highly skilled in Data Governance and Data Quality solutions that allows you to work that data and policies through an organisation and provide you with that end to end transparency and regulatory view of your data.
